Apr 17, 2015 If this results in a three of a kind, flush, straight flush, or straight, then a payout is issued. A six-deck version of the game is most common, and the various pay tables put the house edge anywhere from 2.78% to 3.24%. While these numbers aren’t outrageous. The 21 + 3 side bet. This is by far the most popular side bet among casinos and its players. In the 21 +3 side bet, the player looks on his hand and the dealer’s up card. Once the three cards form a flush, straight flush, or one-of-a-kind flush, the side bet wins. House Money™ is an exciting blackjack side bet. The object is to get one of the following two-card starting hands: Ace-King Suited, Straight Flush, Pair, or Straight. If players start with one of these hands, they may take down their winnings or they may add them to their standard blackjack wager, letting them play with house money! When the prizes are staggered, a straight flush or better can win significant money. Here is an example: Flush – Pays 5:1; Straight – Pays 10:1; Straight Flush – Pays 35:1; Three of a Kind – Pays 33:1; Suited 3 of a Kind – 100:1; Keep in mind that depending on the pay table, the house edge can get as high as 13% for this side bet. You can find examples of games (depending on the number of decks in use) where this is around 2.78% instead. Blackjack side bets offer a far greater potential return than the main game, but they also come with a much higher casino edge. In the main Blackjack game, the bet pays even money, or 2:1, for a blackjack, with a casino edge of just 0.5%. This blackjack side bet, which has been spotted in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Tunica, is one of the better side bets in blackjack from the player’s perspective. The expected return ranges from 99.41% for a popular one-deck variation to a 96.15% for one of the six-deck variations.

Version 1
Version 1 of 21+3 I noticed at the Las Vegas Hilton in April, 2001. The side bet pays based on the player's first two cards and the dealer's up card. If the three cards equal a flush, straight, straight flush, or three of a kind the side bet pays 9 to 1. The following table shows the probability of each hand in a six-deck game,as played at the Hilton.

The Caesars Entertainment Blog mentions that the xtreme version of 21+3 can be found in the Party Pit at the Paris casino in Las Vegas. I had to chuckle at their sense of humor with this remark,
'We would calculate the odds of hitting these side bets, but being in Vegas isn't about math, it's about having fun. And just never-you-mind that this is the blog of a casino company. Check out the new Ooh La La Party Pit at Paris Las Vegas the next time you’re in the neighborhood.
Hey, it is about the math everywhere, even in the Party Pit!
